Spitfire 0.51.0 release notes
Released: 2026-10-18
- **Planned maintenance**: put a monitor in maintenance from the new Planned maintenance card on its page — pick a duration (30 minutes to 8 hours) and add a note. During it the checks are skipped: no alert, drift or error-budget notice goes out, and skipped checks count for nothing in the uptime, the SLO, the living baseline or a deploy's verdict, so a planned outage does not spend your error budget. The monitor shows an In maintenance badge; when the time is up, or with End maintenance now, it checks at once. CI can do the same around a risky step with POST /api/v1/maintenance (an API token will do; an environment or monitor ids, minutes; 0 ends it). The assistant takes "no alerts during maintenance" to this card.
Updating
Your installation tells you about a new release itself: admins see its notes and the update command for that installation at the top of the UI. The command backs up the database first and keeps the settings (Updating). You can also follow new releases with the RSS feed.
