Spitfire 0.50.0 release notes
Released: 2026-10-18
- **Peak hours**: an installation admin picks a window in which scheduled runs do not start, with the new card on the Scheduled runs page: days, hours and a time zone (e.g. weekdays 09:00–18:00; windows across midnight such as 22:00–02:00 work too). A firing in the window is skipped for that turn and the schedule moves on to its next time; it is on purpose, so no failure notice goes out. Run now, runs from CI or started by hand, and synthetic monitors are not held back. The next-runs preview in the schedule dialog marks the times that will be skipped. Heavy tests never strain the target while your customers are busiest, and the assistant takes "don't run tests in business hours" to this card.
Updating
Your installation tells you about a new release itself: admins see its notes and the update command for that installation at the top of the UI. The command backs up the database first and keeps the settings (Updating). You can also follow new releases with the RSS feed.
