Spitfire 0.62.5 release notes
Released: 2026-10-31
- The breaking point (capacity test) form shows its math: duration = steps × (step length + 10 s ramp), top request rate = Up to × requests per iteration, automatic VUs = Up to × 5.
- When a value exceeds a license limit, the form says which field to lower to which value (e.g. Step length 60 → 35 s); clicking the suggestion sets the field. A link next to it opens the plans that raise the limit.
- Automatic VUs no longer exceed the license's VU limit: on the free edition the run uses 100 VUs instead of 1,000, so it is not refused for "asking 1,000 VUs".
- A license limit error also says what to lower to what to stay within it; addresses in error messages are now clickable links.
- The "no observability connection" message on the run charts links to the Observability page; its "i" explains which connections are open in every edition and which are an add-on.
- Guard: clicking Custom opens the fields (it used to look like Gentle was picked).
- The test editor's button says "Save" for an existing test too: it updates the same test, not a copy; the earlier state stays in the version history.
Updating
Your installation tells you about a new release itself: admins see its notes and the update command for that installation at the top of the UI. The command backs up the database first and keeps the settings (Updating). You can also follow new releases with the RSS feed.
