Spitfire 0.62.4 release notes
Released: 2026-10-31
- On the free edition with two or more runners connected, one is reserved for synthetic monitors: the Runners page marks it "Reserved for synthetic monitors", the run dialog does not let you pick it, and the controller refuses a test on it even through the API. Monitors keep checking during a test, and a test never waits for a check. A single runner is shared; a paid license opens every runner to tests.
- Template descriptions say the values in the form: set the limit to 200 ms instead of 800 ms and the description says 200 ms; users, duration and request rate too. The new test's description is saved with the values entered.
- With one-click update on, the License page no longer tells you to run a command to turn it on; it shows that it is on and whether the updater answers.
- install.sh commands in the interface and on the installer's last screen include the install folder (cd <folder> && ./install.sh ...), so they work from any folder.
- The health summary (when turned on) now reaches the server; on earlier releases its address answered 404.
Updating
Your installation tells you about a new release itself: admins see its notes and the update command for that installation at the top of the UI. The command backs up the database first and keeps the settings (Updating). You can also follow new releases with the RSS feed.
