- **The installer says what it will install and can install Docker**: on Linux without Docker it asks first (`[y/N]`, default no) and only on yes installs and starts Docker Engine with the official get.docker.com script. It does not install Docker Desktop on macOS or Windows (it links to it) and never installs Kubernetes. Before installing it reads the machine's vCPU, RAM and free disk, says which hardware profile it fits and lists the components, ports, rough disk and folder under **What gets installed**. Low resources get a warning, not a stop.
Updating
Your installation tells you about a new release itself: admins see its notes and the update command for that installation at the top of the UI. The command backs up the database first and keeps the settings (Updating). You can also follow new releases with the RSS feed.
