- **Notification bell**: the unread count in a red badge in the top bar; opening it marks them read, with "mark all read". The welcome, your-rights and new-release notices are made by the installation itself and need no internet.
- **Rewards page** (user menu): step by step, earn a 10% coupon by sharing on LinkedIn (ready text, one-click copy and share, send the post link on the site) and up to 30% off by inviting friends. These rights hold even if an e-mail never arrived.
- **Announcements are opt-in**: nothing is read until an installation admin says yes. Then Spitfire reads the signed announcement list on spitfire.tr once a day and sends nothing; plan matching happens locally. The decision is audited and can be turned off on the License page's "Notifications and announcements" card.
- `SPITFIRE_NOTICES=off` (Helm: `controller.notices: false`) turns announcements off entirely, for installations without internet access.
Updating
Your installation tells you about a new release itself: admins see its notes and the update command for that installation at the top of the UI. The command backs up the database first and keeps the settings (Updating). You can also follow new releases with the RSS feed.
